This policy explains what personal information Clark Heating and Plumbing Ltd collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it deliberately short, because we do very little with your data beyond what you'd expect.

What we collect
If you fill in the enquiry form on this website, or call or email us, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you give us one
- Your postcode or address
- Whatever you tell us about the work you need doing
We don't ask for anything else, and we never ask for payment details through this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, quote for the work, and carry it out if you go ahead. The lawful basis is legitimate interests — you contacted us asking for a service, and we need your details to provide it — and, once you book work, performance of a contract.
We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you specifically ask us to.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, and we don't share it for marketing purposes.
We may share the minimum necessary with:
- Our email provider, which hosts our inbox
- Manufacturers such as Worcester Bosch, where we need to register a guarantee in your name
- Gas Safe Register or the relevant scheme, where we must notify an installation under Building Regulations
- Our accountant and HMRC, for invoicing and tax records
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within around 12 months. Where we have carried out work, we keep the job and invoice records for six years, as required for tax and for any guarantee or warranty claim.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set any cookies of its own, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking on it.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google will see your IP address. That is the only third-party request the site makes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it transferred elsewhere.
Just email info@clark-heating.co.uk and we'll deal with it within one month, free of charge.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
